The Optex VX402R LVP External PIR Sensor is as close an alternative to an active beam detector that you can get.
NOTE: The VX402R LVP PIR is only to be used with the following products:
- Rapid Deployment Alarm System (RDAS) GPRS
- Farm / Rural Location Alarm System
- Church Security System (RDAS/CHSS-1) GSM
How Does the Optex VX402 LVP PIR Sensor Work?
The VX402 LVP detector is designed to be installed at a height of 1 metre and incorporates two sensing elements focused through two separate lenses.
The top lens looks out parallel with the ground and the other is angled down by several degrees, both detectors need to be activated to generate an alarm condition.
Immunity from False Alarms by Animals
The result is that cats, dogs, rabbits, foxes and birds etc. only ever activate one sensor whilst a person due their size will activate both, generating an alarm condition.
A PIR Sensor Providing a Great Alternative to Active Beam Technology
This is as close an alternative to active beam sets such as the Optex AX200TFR as you can get but with the benefit of a 12 x 12 metre field of protection.
The VX402 is therefore Compound Security Systems' external detector of choice as it offers both good range and the lowest number of false alarms.
