Small sites with good fences and only one entrance may not require a fully blown security system that allows dozens of sensors, so CSS produce the VX and HX GSM and GPRS range of standalone detectors which will provide a high standard of security without hurting your pocket.
The HX and VX range of GSM and GPRS PIR's are the system of choice for many of the UK police forces. These can be deployed without an alarm engineer in a matter of minutes, allowing you complete flexibility should you need to resite the detector as your site progresses.
Each HX and VX unit whether it be GSM or GPRS communicating can also allow up to two RF versions of the units to be connected to them as slaves. This allows up to three high quality external PIR's to run off one SIM card.
Do I need a GSM or GPRS device to protect my building site?
You can protect your building site with either GSM or GPRS technology - both offer different core benefits depending on the level of security that your site requires. The choice as to whether you use a GSM or GPRS system really depends on how much information you wish to access, whether you want the system monitored by an ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre) and how many systems you have.
GSM Security
If you have a single building site with several core members of staff on site e.g. security guards, site manager, foreman etc. then a GSM device may be the best option for you. The GSM versions of the VX and HX product range communicate via SMS message to up to 10 mobile numbers with messages including: Armed, Disarmed, Battery status and Alarm Activated so your key site personnel will be notified of any alarm activations immediately.
GPRS Security
If you are using multiple security systems on multiple building sites, the GPRS version of the HX and VX systems will make your life much easier as they are FULLY MONITORED. This means that all activation alerts will be sent to an ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre). The ARC staff will then contact the key-holders that you have registered on the system and advise them that an alarm has been triggered. Status messages such as Armed, Disarmed, Battery Status etc. will also be sent via email to your registered email accounts.
In addition to the ARC, the GPRS systems allow you to monitor the status of the system and even each detector connected to it remotely 24/7 via our secure online server using a PIN number. This will be particularly useful if you are managing your building sites remotely as you can log on and check the status of your security systems across your sites from anywhere at any time.
