Wireless / GSM Alarm Technology
Wireless GSM alarms are a relatively recent development allowing security for properties and areas that historically have been difficult to secure due to lack of power and or telephone lines.
The RDAS GSM - VPS alarm system is the first system of its kind, designed specifically for rapid deployment and redeployment by property managers of large housing stocks.
The RDAS GSM - VPS alarm system consists of a GSM communications unit contained within an IP65 enclosure. The enclosure houses the communications module, battery packs and a high output siren. In addition a wireless arm / disarm switch is supplied, along with two high quality Optex EX35 PIR's for internal use.
Once the RDAS GSM - VPS alarm system has been powered up and the enclosure mounted high up on the outside of the building, it is simply a matter of putting up the PIR's (2 come with the system as standard, expandable to 30) either with screws or high tack sticky pads. You then arm the system via the wireless arm/disarm switch that should be mounted close to the entrance/exit.
The system can then be left for up to 6 months before batteries will need to be changed.

Vacant property
Organisations with large housing stocks always have a number of properties vacant for one reason or another. These properties need to be secured effectively and reliably. As many of these properties are vacant for short periods of time, CSS have developed the RDAS VPS to provide unrivalled quality and security whilst at the same time creating a system with an external high output alarm that can be moved from one property to another in a very short period. This results in lower costs for each move and further cost savings due to the fact that fewer systems are required because they can be moved so easily.

Traditional security systems rely on mains power and hard wired telephone lines. If buildings have been damaged by fire or water, it is not uncommon that the traditional security systems will have failed. Whilst repair work is underway to restore such systems, the RDAS emergency security system will provide a high degree of security within minutes for up to 12 months.
