The Optex HX80 VP PIR Sensor is designed for detecting intruders at a long range

The Optex HX80 VP PIR is an impressive piece of equipment, essentially the same as the HX40, but with a far greater range.

The benefit of the HX series over the VX series is that the HX series can be mounted at normal PIR height, around 3 meters. The VX series have to be mounted at 1 meter.

The Optex HX80 Boasts Immunity from False Alarms by Animals

HX80 has a detection pattern of 24 meters x 2 meters and comprises 20 individual detection zones making it immune to false alarms from small animals.
