Mosquito alarms to disperse town troublemakers
MOSQUITO alarms are due to be put up in Weston's trouble spots to deter youngsters from congregating outside shops and homes.

The alarms, which will be moved around the town depending on where they are needed, will be set up first in the Maltlands and at The Campus in Locking Castle, which are known hotspots for troublemakers.

Mosquito alarms let out high frequency notes, only heard by young people, and help to disperse groups of youngsters and prevent antisocial behaviour.

The equipment is already being used successfully in Long Ashton and police hope the alarms will help to tackle crime in the town
